This photo of me and my husband was taken by our local guide, when we were crossing the Omo River in Omorate, which has been dubbed as the hottest and dustiest town of the region. We were sitting in a “canoe” crafted out from a tree trunk, which is the only mode of transportation to get to a village belonging to the Dassanach tribe.
