We met this group of ladies at the Royal Rock Temple in Dambulla. They looked so beautiful together in their flowing colourful sarees, like a flock of exotic birds, parading gracefully against the symmetrical white columns of the Temple. I was very tempted to take photographs of them in the temple, but being at a holy place of worship, I did not want to be seen as being disrespectful. So, I waited for them to finish their prayers and approached outside the temple, to ask if I could photograph them.
